Core Capabilities

We are seeking a highly versatile person who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, fixing things, and staying busy. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company equipment and vehicles, assisting with shop and facility maintenance, completing deliveries and pickups, transporting equipment to job sites, and assisting with snow removal and property maintenance throughout the year. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, resourceful, dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently.

Job Duties:

Equipment & Mechanical Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on landscaping equipment, small engines, trailers, trucks, and other company equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine when repairs can be completed in-house versus requiring outside service.
• Perform oil changes, filter changes, lubrication, belt replacement, blade sharpening, tire changes, and other preventative maintenance.
• Maintain equipment to minimize downtime during the landscaping season.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, fueled, and ready for use.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Identify equipment issues before they become major or costly problems.
• Manage the maintenance schedule on company fleet of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles and equipment

Shop & Facility Maintenance

• Keep the shop, storage areas, equipment yard, and company facilities clean, organized, and safe.
• Repair and maintain buildings, tools, and equipment including doors, shelving, gates, fencing, lighting, and other property items as needed.
• Perform general handyman tasks and miscellaneous repairs.
• Assist with shop organization and inventory of parts, supplies, and materials.
• Help maintain an efficient system for equipment storage and staging.

Deliveries, Pickups & Equipment Transportation

• Deliver landscaping materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to customers and job sites.
• Pick up materials, parts, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
• Transport equipment between the shop, nursery, office, and job sites.
• Load and unload equipment and materials safely.
• Complete equipment drop-offs and pickups for customers and crews.
• Represent Rosenbaum’s Landscaping professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and the public.

Snow Removal

• Operate trucks, loaders, skid steers, snow blowers, and other snow-removal equipment.
• Assist with snow plowing, salting, shoveling, and snow removal for commercial and residential properties.
• Perform snow-related equipment preparation and maintenance before and during winter events including fueling and maintenance.
• Respond to snow events and work extended or irregular hours when necessary.

Property & Grounds Maintenance

• Assist with maintenance of company properties, facilities, and grounds.
• Perform mowing, trimming, pruning, cleanup, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance as needed.
• Assist with landscape enhancements and property improvement projects.
• Maintain company yards, storage areas, and outdoor workspaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, shop work, or a similar mechanical position (landscaping, construction, or maintenance experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of basic tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Basic mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair common equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Conditions:

• Work primarily in a shop and yard setting, with occasional travel to job sites for equipment maintenance or support.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Schedule:

• Full-Time Hours:
  • Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm with some flexibility depending on daily tasks, maintenance needed, weather, or Operations Manager request
