POSITION SUMMARY
As the designated Quality Technician, you are responsible for maintaining in-process production standards and tracking and documenting quality concerns. The main goal is to promote efficient and effective quality control measures, analyze data, recommend solutions for improvement, and take corrective action.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Perform 8D review and root cause analysis on process and truck component failures.
- Perform final line inspection (e.g., Cab, Chassis and Paint Process) and monitor build process quality.
- Carry out employee spot inspections and training.
- Maintain and monitor Build Books for consistency, build process accuracy, necessary updates and sign-off on proper process control.
- Actively monitor customer specification during build process.
- Inter-face with Rosenbauer engineering, purchasing, production, materials and other related departments to clarify specifications and proper truck configurations.
- Document quality issues (e.g., Process, Component, Training, Engineering, Suppliers, Material Handling and Design Specifications).
- Perform containment minimization efforts to remove any non-conforming materials that cause negative production impact.
- Maintain quality specific database(s), inventory lists and serial number logs for completion, accuracy, and proper disposition.
- Participate in periodic production and quality control meetings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
