COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$68,300 (Bachelor’s - Step 1) to $84,300 (Master’s - Step 6)

The Rose Tree Media School District and Springton Lake Middle School seek a student-centered Gifted Education Teacher to support advanced learners through differentiated instruction and enrichment opportunities that extend beyond the core curriculum. This position emphasizes the development of higher-level thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning, with a focus on providing enrichment in mathematics. The ideal candidate has experience working with gifted students, a strong background in mathematics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers to provide both push-in and pull-out support. This role also includes the development and management of Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs) to ensure that students’ academic needs are met. This full-time, contracted position is available for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required; coursework or advanced degree in Education, Gifted Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in a middle level or secondary content area required. Pennsylvania Gifted Education endorsement or willingness to obtain preferred.
• Certification in Mathematics or a strong background in mathematics instruction strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs), including development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction and enrichment experiences that promote higher-level thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience working with gifted or advanced learners, including providing both push-in and pull-out support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers to support differentiation and enrichment within the classroom setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
