COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$68,300 (Bachelor’s - Step 1) to $84,300 (Master’s - Step 6)

The Rose Tree Media School District and Indian Lane Elementary School seek a student-centered Learning Support Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction and targeted interventions. This position emphasizes the development of foundational academic, social, and behavioral skills to promote student growth and independence. The ideal candidate has experience working with students with disabilities, a strong understanding of differentiated instruction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers to provide both push-in and pull-out support. This role also includes the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure that students’ needs are met. This full-time, contracted position is available for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Special Education (PK–8).
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student growth across academic and functional skill areas.
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including development, implementation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support inclusive practices and student success.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Experience implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support a range of learning needs.
• Experience integrating technology and digital tools to support instruction, data collection, and student engagement.
