Engineering Manager
PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)
Manages the Engineering function. In partnership with manufacturing, sales and quality, ensures conformance to product design and development. Develops systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards. Facilitates customer order throughput from sales through the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Directs product engineering through the Engineering Staff.
- Develops and manages procedures and methods to ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Provides engineering expertise in areas of prints, specifications, tooling, also process product maintenance, raw materials and purchased products
- Manages the execution of designs according to customer and company specifications.
- Works in conjunction with manufacturing and quality assurance to manage the implementation of corrective action where necessary, engineering changes, materials and improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Provides technical support for the development of sales quotations and customer part identification.
- Travels as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support and promote the team environment.
- Meet and/or exceed all production and quality standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Education/Training: Engineering related Bachelor Degree.
- Experience/Skills: Technical skills in Engineering management and Quality Assurance normally obtained with five to seven years of appropriate experience. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Team player essential.
Salary : $94,400 - $120,000
