Job Description
We are seeking a senior attorney to serve as Managing Partner and lead the expansion of our firm across practice areas and jurisdictions. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership credentials, a portable book of business (minimum $750K), and enjoy building teams and growing a business.
This role of Managing Partner requires a seasoned attorney with deep expertise in law, client development and practice management who is motivated to:
- Expand the firm’s presence and reputation.
- Shape the future of our practice and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture among attorneys and legal staff.
- Lead business development efforts, working closely with Firm Founder to grow our practice in different jurisdictions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, leveraging a solid book of business.
- Ensure the highest standards of legal practice, ethics and client-focused service are upheld.
YOU ARE:
- A stellar attorney with at least 10 years’ experience in law and in managing senior personnel.
- A natural leader. You take initiative and are not afraid of difficult conversations.
- Action-oriented with a sense of urgency for accomplishing goals.
- A clear communicator who speaks plain-English (legalese only when necessary).
- Conscientious and highly accountable.
- A problem solver. You find solutions and improve efficiency.
- An accomplished rainmaker, with a portable book of business of at least $750,000.
- Confident, enthusiastic, energetic—you’ve got this.
- Responsive and proactive. You keep those that need to know very well-informed.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD:
- Work out of our New York City office and be a key player on our Leadership Team.
- Oversee attorney performance in alignment with our Core Values.
- Lead our partners, associates, law clerks and paralegals, creating opportunity for development at all levels.
- Assist with identifying and recruiting A-player attorney and staff.
- Ensure workload is properly distributed, considering expertise and capacity.
- Handle client communication and drive satisfaction with work product.
- Develop and enforce cross-functional accountability measures.

- Total Compensation – $400,000 – $750,000 or more (based on experience, book of business, and performance).
