ROMTech is revolutionizing rehabilitation—and we’re building a high-performing commercial team to match. We’re looking for a Sales Trainer to drive consistency and discipline in sales execution across our Patient and Provider Sales teams. This role blends coaching, enablement, and MedTech best practices to elevate sales performance and embed a culture of excellence.


This is an onsite (Clearwater, FL) opportunity with incentives and competitive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid leave, plus more).


Key Responsibilities:

Individual Coaching and Manager Enablement:

  • Deliver 1:1 and group coaching sessions with Patient Sales and Provider Sales staff.
  • Equip sales managers with coaching frameworks to sustain discipline and accountability.
  • Provide field support (call reviews, ride-alongs, role-play sessions) to validate skill application.

Dedicated Coverage

  • Initial focus on Patient Sales conversion and Provider Sales engagement.
  • Expand to additional sales channels and commercial functions as the Performance function scales.

Execution Frameworks

  • Develop playbooks and scorecards tied to patient and provider journey performance metrics.
  • Embed MedTech-adapted sales methodologies (value-based selling, Challenger, SPIN, MEDDICC-lite).
  • Run competency validation and recertification cycles to ensure sustained execution discipline.
  • Partner with Training/Quality to reinforce formal training programs through coaching.

Closing the Loop

  • Validate analyst findings via call reviews, shadowing, and pipeline observation.
  • Translate defect categories (e.g., objection handling, pipeline leakage) into targeted coaching actions.
  • Ensure measurable improvement in behaviors tied to sales performance.

Partnerships

  • Collaborate with Patient Sales and Provider Sales leadership for frontline adoption.
  • Partner with Clinical and Delivery teams to align sales execution with therapy delivery and patient compliance.
  • Work with Training/Quality to align coaching with curricula.
  • Coordinate with the People team for competency standards and career development.

Key Outcomes

  • Make coaching and training ROI visible through measurable sales performance improvements.
  • Strengthen manager capability to embed coaching discipline into daily leadership.
  • Contribute to ROMTech’s rhythm of business via weekly call reviews, monthly RCA cycles, and quarterly certifications.
  • Foster a coaching-first culture that improves consistency, conversion, and confidence across the commercial team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 5–7 years in sales enablement, sales leadership, or coaching roles in MedTech, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to coach reps and managers on consultative/complex sales skills.
  • Experience embedding sales methodologies (value-based, Challenger, SPIN, MEDDICC-lite) into daily practice.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and feedback delivery skills.
  • Strong communicator and trusted advisor.
  • Credible commercial operator with MedTech or healthcare experience.
  • Patient and supportive, yet direct in feedback and resilient under resistance.
  • Adaptive across functions; comfortable with both sales reps and managers.
  • Self-sufficient and quick to learn; thrives in building structure where none exists.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
