This Role
This is a highly visible role within our Member Services Team. In this critical role you'll lead and inspire members, volunteers, and prospects; have strategic responsibility for our Signature Events, best practices, and budgets. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Member Services, you will help us deliver world-class events and experiences while also living our mission vision and values. The ideal candidate is a strong people person, has proven presence, is motivated by community service, and masterful at managing multiple projects simultaneously with a calm demeanor. The successful candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker, is highly collaborative and builds excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy to support organizational goals, including member engagement, donor cultivation, and brand awareness.
- Lead the planning and execution of events using best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with key members, sponsors, and partners to ensure maximum revenue potential for each event.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that each event meets financial objectives and maximizes return on investment.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and service providers, ensuring top-tier service while staying within budget constraints.
- Partner with the MarCom team to promote events through digital, print, and social media channels, ensuring high visibility and strong participation.
- Conduct post-event debriefs to evaluate successes and areas for improvement, producing detailed reports on event performance, budget adherence, attendance and overall impact.
- Lead and mentor Ambassador Committee to ensure successful event delivery while always operating with integrity and empathy.
- Attend staff meetings and other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and management
- Proficiency in member management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical and creative mindset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills
- Gracefulness under pressure and deadlines; must be able to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including some evenings and weekends.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
