We are partnering with a financial services company in the Boston, MA area who is looking to add a Payroll & Benefits Manager to their team. This role will oversee payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and compensation programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and serving as a key HR partner across the organization. Onsite role with free parking.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee biweekly payroll processing for all employees
- Administer employee benefits programs and support annual open enrollment
- Manage leave administration including FMLA, PFMLA, ADA, and other applicable leave programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and employment regulations
- Oversee compensation programs and support salary planning initiatives
- Support performance management and employee engagement programs
- Partner closely with Accounting on audits, reporting, budgeting, and compliance initiatives
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting, tax filings, and reconciliations
- Identify and implement process improvements across payroll, benefits, and HR operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
- 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience
- Strong knowledge of leave laws including FMLA, PFMLA, ADA, and related regulations
- Banking experience strongly preferred; financial services experience considered
- Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment
- ADP Workforce Now experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits programs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Compensation: $95K-$115K depending on experience, plus free parking
