The opportunity
We’re building a team to modernize identity and access management for a large public university, and we’re looking for a Project Manager to lead delivery across identity data cleanup, identity governance (IGA), role-based access control (RBAC), and migrating provisioning off a legacy system. This is a 12-month, fully remote engagement starting February 2027.
What you’ll do
- Run day-to-day delivery across four identity workstreams and a team of architects and subject-matter experts
- Own the weekly status report and RAID log (risks, actions, issues, decisions), delivered every Thursday
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops; send materials in advance and close out action items on time
- Track progress on identity data alignment, RBAC design, governance framework, and provisioning migration
- Escalate and resolve blockers across identity platforms, business applications, infrastructure and business units
- Present status and decisions to technical teams and university leadership
What you bring
- 8 years of project management, with 3 years leading IAM, IGA or identity security programs
- Strong PMO practices: schedules, status reporting, RAID management and escalation
- Clear technical writing and executive communication
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical and business stakeholders
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Higher education experience
- Exposure to Workday, Microsoft Entra ID or PeopleSoft
- Familiarity with NIST CSF; CISSP or CISM
The details
- Fully remote, U.S.-based; core hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern
- 12-month engagement starting around February 15, 2027
- NO C2C or 1099

This position depends on a contract award expected in January 2027. We’re interviewing now so we can include the selected candidate in our proposal. Final candidates must be available for a 75-minute virtual client meeting during the week of November 30, 2026.
Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
