About the role: We are looking for a Shift Mechanical Fitter to be a part of the wider maintenance team, while being responsible for servicing mechanical machinery and production equipment at our Pencoed factory. The successful candidate will be required to work a 4on-4off (2 days, 2nights, 4 days off) shift pattern. Seven rotations of the pattern is followed by a period of 18-days off. What we offer: Basic salary of £39,083 Competitive shift allowance Aviva Pension Company bonus scheme Free on-site parking Electric car charging facilities Life Assurance 4x annual salary Westfield Health Cashback Healthcare Scheme and Rewards Scheme What you bring: Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience within a manufacturing environment Fault-finding and problem solving capabilities Understanding of mechanical equipment, including conveyor systems, rollers, bearings, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, piping systems etc. Capability to carry out reasonable MMA & MIG welding The ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and other technical information What you will be doing: Performing corrective and preventative maintenance, working on equipment that includes but is not limited to conveyor systems, rollers, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics and piping systems Undertaking mechanical repairs and responding quickly to minimise production downtime Fault finding on a wide variety of mechanical systems Supporting the maintenance department with routine mechanical maintenance, inspections and repairs on a variety of equipment Documenting faults and rectification work detail in SAP Carrying out all maintenance tasks in line and in accordance with all health and safety procedures About ROCKWOOL ROCKWOOL harnesses the natural power of stone to create innovative insulation and building solutions that make life safer, more sustainable, and more comfortable.
