Rockland Manufacturing is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Intern to join our team. As an Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to design innovative solutions, evaluate manufacturing methods, and enhance the quality of products we deliver to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating 2D drawings using design software.
- Modeling and producing 3D designs using CAD software.
- Understanding basic statics and the mechanics of load transfer through linkages on machines, helping to create effective product designs.
- Translating written and verbal product requirements from engineers, sales, and manufacturing teams into actionable design solutions.
- Gaining an understanding of Rockland’s manufacturing techniques, including machining, cutting, forming, and welding of steel, and incorporating these techniques into the design process.
- Participating in design reviews and learning how to refine product designs to better meet manufacturing capabilities.

- Understanding of basic statics and engineering principles.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing techniques, such as machining, welding, and metal forming, is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn and improve.
