WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As an IT Intern at Rockland Manufacturing, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting IT operations in a manufacturing environment. Working closely with our experienced IT team, you'll contribute to the stability, efficiency, and security of our technology systems while developing valuable skills across multiple areas of IT.
This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, and project management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Daily IT Operations: Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing system checks, and supporting technology used across the company.
- Collaborate with the IT Team: Help manage help desk tickets through ZenDesk, provide technical assistance to staff, and learn how to prioritize IT tasks in a professional environment.
- Participate in Projects: Work on select IT projects under supervision—this may include software deployments, network upgrades, or cybersecurity initiatives.
- Gain Exposure to IT Systems: Get hands-on training with tools and platforms like Microsoft 365, Epicor Kinetic ERP, VMWare, SonicWALL, Active Directory, and more.
- Learn About IT Security: Support security best practices by assisting with system updates, user access management, and backup procedures.
- Observe Vendor Interactions: Sit in on vendor meetings and learn how we evaluate and maintain key technology partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in IT systems, infrastructure, and security
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 preferred
