Job Summary
POSITION: Adult Education Career Training Instructors -Phlebotomy & EKG- Part-Time Evening
Rockland BOCES Adult Education is looking for a knowledgeable and engaging part-time evening instructor to prepare students for dual NHA certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Certified EKG Technician (CET). The ideal candidate will adapt their teaching style to support diverse adult learners, offering the constructive feedback needed to build student confidence. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery that is up to date with the most recent NHA test plans, maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical competency checklists. Starting Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Valid and current certification in phlebotomy (CPT) and certified EKG technician (CET); a minimum of 3-5 years’ recent clinical phlebotomy and EKG experience required. Associates degree or higher preferred. Strong communication skills and commitment to adult learning; Ability to teach weekday and / or Saturday classes. Adult Education certification is required prior to hire date.
Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
