Job Summary
POSITION: Adult Education Career Training Instructors -Carpentry- Part-Time Evening
Rockland BOCES Adult Education is seeking a skilled and patient Carpentry Instructor to teach foundational carpentry skills to adult learners preparing for entry-level roles in the construction trades. This course introduces students to essential tools, materials, measurements, and basic building techniques in a hands-on learning environment.
CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience; Prior teaching or training experience preferred but not required; NYSED K-12 certification is desirable but not required; profound understanding of carpentry fundamentals, safety requirements, and tool usage. Professional experience in carpentry, residential construction, framing, remodeling, or related trades.
NYS Adult Education Certification or Certification in a related field required.
Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
