Role Summary: Performs ionizing radiation procedures, including CT scans, ensuring accurate patient identification, positioning, and protocol adherence. Communicates effectively with physicians and staff, explains procedures to patients, and obtains necessary clinical information. Prepares and maintains the imaging room, manages supplies, and ensures proper contrast administration and imaging techniques. Operates PACS system, archives studies, and reports equipment issues. Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and pathology relevant to scans and responds appropriately in emergency situations. Provides training to co-workers and students, and performs point-of-care testing as needed.

- Certified in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registered in CT, CPR, and SCRQSA (for South Carolina).
- Excellent customer service, basic computer, and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of 3D imaging preferred.
- Identifies patients, communicates with healthcare team, and obtains clinical histories.
- Performs procedures accurately using protocols, documents exams, and handles supplies and contrast media.
- Operates imaging equipment, ensures quality scans, and maintains safety standards.
- Trains colleagues, responds to emergencies, and performs quality control tasks.
