What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist - Full-Time, Nights position at Plan A Health?
Role Overview: Performs ionizing radiation procedures, including CT scans, ensuring accurate positioning and adherence to protocols. Communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients, explaining procedures and obtaining necessary information. Prepares and maintains the exam room, manages supplies, and properly administers IV contrast using proper techniques. Operates imaging and PACS systems, archives studies, and ensures quality and timely delivery of images for interpretation. Responds appropriately to emergency situations and maintains competency through ongoing training. Collaborates with team members and assists in training others.
Qualifications & Skills: Certified in radiologic technology with ARRT registration in CT, CPR, and SCRQSA certification (for South Carolina). No prior experience required; training provided. Strong customer service, basic computer, and office equipment skills, with knowledge of 3D imaging preferred.
Additional Duties: Completes documentation, manages charges, and reports equipment issues. Performs point-of-care testing and other assigned tasks in support of departmental operations.
