What you’ll do
- Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests and ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food preparation meets safety standards and guest expectations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while providing a seamless checkout experience for guests.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures, service techniques, and menu knowledge.
Basic qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks during busy shifts.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dining service standards and upselling techniques is advantageous.
