Roca Tile USA, part of the Lamosa Group—one of the world’s leading ceramic tile manufacturers with over 100 years of history—is seeking a highly driven, results oriented Architectural & Design (A&D) Sales Representative to lead specification growth in the Chicago market.
This is an outside sales role based out of our Chicago Downtown Showroom and might require regular presence in the showroom, in addition to consistent in-market client engagement and territory management.
This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment, understands the architectural and design community, and is motivated by winning and developing large-scale commercial projects.
Position Overview.
The A&D Sales Representative is responsible for generating specifications and converting them into sales across key commercial segments including multi-family, hospitality, corporate, retail, healthcare, and institutional projects
.This role requires a strong ability to manage the full lifecycle of a project—from early-stage design engagement through final delivery—while serving as a trusted partner to architects, designers, developers, and contractors.
You will take full ownership of your territory, identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination internally to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow A&D relationships within the Chicago market, targeting architects, interior designers, developers, and key stakeholders
Drive product specifications and ensure successful follow-through to project completion and invoicing
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, proactively converting leads into active projects
Manage a robust pipeline of large-scale commercial projects (10,000+ sq ft) with strong organization and prioritization
Conduct high-impact presentations, product trainings, and client meetings (20+ weekly touchpoints expected)
Deliver samples and tailor materials to support specific project needs
Act as a project quarterback, coordinating with customer service, logistics, and internal teams to ensure execution excellence
Maintain accurate and detailed activity in CRM, including visit reports and pipeline tracking
Attend, support, and help coordinate showroom events, ensuring strong client engagement and a high-quality brand experience
Anticipate client needs and provide solutions, positioning Roca as a proactive and knowledgeable partner
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand market presence
What We’re Looking For

Proven success in B2B sales, preferably within A&D, building materials, or construction-related industries
Strong ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Highly organized with a disciplined approach to time management and prioritization
Excellent communication skills with a reputation for responsiveness and follow-through
Ability to build trust and long-term relationships across different client profiles
Confident presenting and discussing design solutions with industry professionals
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and think beyond standard solutions

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, or related field preferred
Experience in ceramic/porcelain tile or related materials is a strong plus
Ability to travel locally within the Chicago territory
