Merchandiser (Miami, FL)
SUMMARY:
ROCA TILE USA is offering an exciting, full-time opportunity located in Miami as a Merchandiser. This role involves a mix of showroom merchandising, warehouse support, and field-based display setup across Florida. The position requires regular travel, including operating a company box truck to transport displays and samples to dealers.
Objective:
A Merchandiser creates visual displays for flooring professionals. He/she communicates extensively with sales representatives to identify their goals and then presents them with options he/she believes will increase sales. The job requires keeping up with market trends and having a good understanding of the retailer's target customers.
The Merchandiser will spend the majority of the week on the road supporting dealer locations throughout Florida, ensuring proper display setup and brand presentation. One day per week will be dedicated to warehouse operations, including preparing samples and merchandising materials.
He/she will be a key component of the warehouse team and assist in providing customers with their material.
A successful merchandiser requires a good balance of communication and artistic abilities. The merchandiser must clearly understand the goals of the flooring professional and keep them in mind as he/she develops merchandising strategies. Merchandiser is also required to interact with department managers to understand their goals and be aware of the amount of inventory they need to display and market.
Besides budgetary considerations, he/she must take into account the physical space available for displays and calculate how often they must be changed to accommodate discounted and seasonal merchandise.
In addition, he/she will provide customer service and ensure all orders are handled accurately.
Requirements:
- High School education; Associate Degree is a plus
- Energy and drive to achieve goals

- Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to represent the company positively

- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties or projects as needed
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays two or three times a month
- Valid Driver’s License
