Duties

  • Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, nap times, and bathroom breaks with patience and care
  • Engage children in educational activities that develop social skills, language, motor skills, and creativity
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and needs
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly valued
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training
  • Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the staff team
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for children’s learning journeys
