Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, nap times, and bathroom breaks with patience and care
- Engage children in educational activities that develop social skills, language, motor skills, and creativity
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and needs
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the staff team
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for children’s learning journeys
