VP/Director of Finance

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Director of Finance to support our growing Healthcare client in West Hollywood on a 3–4-month on-site engagement supporting the core financial functions. This role oversees budgeting, reporting, vendor and expense management, commission calculations, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, insurance policies, and AR/AP operations. The Director of Finance will work closely with executive leadership and departmental heads to enhance financial discipline, support growth initiatives, and drive ROI-focused decision-making. The Director of Finance will combine technical financial expertise with operational fluency, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Oversight

• Lead the monthly financial close process, prepare detailed financial reports, and conduct variance analyses for budget-to-actual performance.
• Maintain and enhance weekly reporting systems, including cash flow status, revenue tracking, and expense management.
• Monitor daily sales and revenue data in collaboration with operations and marketing teams.

Cash Management and Forecasting

• Manage daily cash flow and provide rolling forecasts aligned with operating budgets and business initiatives.
• Identify cash needs and support strategic decisions around capital allocation and liquidity planning.
• Manage banking relationships, accounts, transfers, and reporting to ensure optimal structure and service.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Planning

• Own the annual budgeting process and rolling reforecasts.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic growth, acquisitions, and operational decisions.
• Conduct ROI analysis for capital expenditures, new initiatives, and vendor relationships.

Commission Calculations

• Take full ownership of bi-weekly commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and timely payout in coordination with HR and payroll teams.
• Maintain and refine commission structures as needed based on business priorities.

Vendor and Expense Management

• Review all vendor invoices and recurring expenses for necessity, contractual compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead periodic vendor and subscription audits.
• Develop spending discipline across departments by implementing structured approval workflows.

AR / AP Oversight

• Oversee AR/AP team functions, ensuring accuracy, timely billing, collections, and disbursements.
• Ensure proper controls and reconciliations are in place to reduce errors and fraud risk.
• Serve as escalation point for vendor disputes, overdue receivables, and payment prioritization.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Special Projects

• Assist with due diligence, integration planning, and financial modeling for acquisitions and expansion.
• Recommend and implement tools to improve reporting automation and financial visibility.
  

• Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within a healthcare or multi-site business environment.
• Proficiency in managing cash flow forecasts and developing financial models for strategic planning.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable/payable processes and vendor management.
• Expertise in calculating and managing commission structures with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to establish internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Exceptional leadership skills to drive collaboration across departments and influence decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools and software for reporting and automation.
