What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP/Director of Finance position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring effective financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control processes.
• Oversee the financial performance of the assigned business segment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and present comprehensive forecasts, including detailed analyses of cost structures across the site.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly statements, rolling forecasts, and annual audits.
• Direct accounts receivable activities to maintain accurate revenue reporting and effective cash collection.
• Maintain robust systems and controls to verify the integrity of financial data and processes, while ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Analyze and prepare reports summarizing the company’s financial position, including income, expenses, and earnings projections.
• Review and validate financial statements to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Implement and oversee effective internal controls in project costing and revenue recognition processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership in the configuration and implementation of integrated financial and operational systems, such as Baan LN or similar platforms.
• Extensive experience in financial management, accounting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems, including tools like Concur and ADP Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, annual budgeting, and auditing processes.
• Expertise in project costing, revenue recognition, and profit analysis.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and their integration with financial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Proven track record of implementing effective internal controls and compliance measures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving financial processes.
