Tax Preparer

Robert Half is partnering with a CPA firm in NE Portland for a contract to permanent Tax Preparer. The ideal candidate will have experience with Drake Tax software, 2-3 years' experience with supervised tax preparation and the ability to work primarily onsite while training.

What you'll do:

-Data entry

-Reconcile statements to tax returns

-Collect documentation such as 1099s, receipts, W-2s

-Utilize software to enter data and determine several factors

-Generate reports and file tax documents

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation.
• Proficiency in Drake Tax software.
• Strong understanding of individual and corporate tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of tax audit procedures and compliance standards.
• CPA certification or relevant qualifications preferred but not required.
