Sr. IT Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager IT to oversee complex projects related to warehouse management systems and ensure their successful delivery. This long-term contract position is based in Southern California and requires onsite work four days a week. The role demands exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a strong grasp of project management methodologies to drive progress and meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, focusing on warehouse management systems like Manhattan.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth collaboration and communication throughout project lifecycles.

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely delivery.

• Monitor project scope, budget, and schedules, addressing any changes or risks proactively.

• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders, ensuring systems align with compliance regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley.

• Present project updates, risks, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders with clear and impactful communication.

• Oversee system processes and ensure adherence to compliance standards and best practices.

• Analyze project performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes.

• Facilitate workshops and meetings to address challenges and drive progress.

• Stay updated on advancements in warehouse management technologies to apply innovative solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience managing projects involving warehouse management systems, preferably Manhattan.
• Strong familiarity with AS400 operating systems and the Aldon Change Management tool.
• Solid understanding of communication protocols in AS400 systems, such as handheld scanners and voice technologies.
• Certification in Project Management or completed recognized project management training is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Experience in supply chain processes, such as inventory management and distribution center operations, is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
