Sr. IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Southern California. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and collaborate with a dynamic team. This role will be expected to be onsite 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business requirements to support project objectives and deliverables.

• Collaborate with project managers and team leads to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

• Perform detailed analysis, design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and large-scale projects.

• Develop architectural solutions tailored to application needs and business goals.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including implementation and warranty details.

• Provide regular status updates to project managers and team leads to ensure transparency and alignment.

• Work on AS400 technologies, including programming, file/database configuration, and system integrations.

• Support retail ordering and warehouse functions, focusing on the specific needs of the automotive spare parts business.

• Travel as required to fulfill project demands and ensure successful implementation.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst

• Strong technical expertise in AS400 technologies, including RPG IV programming and database configuration.

• Familiarity with retail ordering systems and warehouse operations, with a focus on spare parts.

• Proficiency in MQ integrations and AS400 journals.

• Solid communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.

• Experience with tools like Aldon and Oracle NetSuite Technologies is a plus.

• Basic understanding of configuration management and integration processes.

• Ability to perform detailed analysis and ensure successful unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
