IT Business Analyst (Privacy & Compliance)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team and support enterprise initiatives focused on privacy, compliance, and business systems. In this role, you'll collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, developers, security, legal, and compliance teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while ensuring regulatory and privacy requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with project managers, business sponsors, and stakeholders to define project scope, business objectives, and expected outcomes.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions through interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Analyze complex business problems and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Document business requirements, use cases, workflows, process maps, and business process improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to design scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
- Prioritize business requirements with stakeholders and project teams.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and cross-functional discussions.
- Ensure requirements are accurately communicated to technical teams.
- Maintain requirements traceability from design through testing and implementation.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, coordination, and validation.
- Verify delivered solutions meet business needs, compliance requirements, and organizational standards.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory reviews.
- Promote privacy-by-design principles and ensure solutions align with data governance and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements for complex enterprise projects.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust or similar tools.
- Knowledge of data governance, information security, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
- Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations and data protection best practices.
