Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role focuses on supporting the R& D Technology organization, which manages a significant annual budget and contributes substantially to the company’s overall revenue. The position requires someone with strong attention to detail, financial reporting expertise, and a passion for working with complex data and operational metrics.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver operational financial reports for the R& D organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting to process financial data and create tactical reporting.
• Conduct detailed analyses and allocate R& D expenditures across various company brands, including IT, operational expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Manage and update financial models using tools like Planful and Excel, incorporating complex datasets and pivot tables.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Monitor and report on key operational metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and reporting processes.
• Assist in ad hoc financial analysis tasks to address immediate business needs.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and company policies.
• Optimize processes and tools to improve efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting within a detail-oriented services environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and complex file management.
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Planful; experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data analytics and its application in financial reporting.
• Background in FP& A and variance analysis is highly preferred.
• Ability to handle and analyze large datasets with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing financial tasks.
• Solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
