Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team near Somerset, WI. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting month-end close activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to an organization's financial health while enhancing your expertise. This position is on-site, with upward mobility to Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute month-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.

• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions.

• Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to streamline accounting procedures.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls in all accounting activities.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and other reports as required.

• Proven experience in accounting with a focus on month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries.
• Strong understanding of account reconciliation practices.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and related tools.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
