Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Shawnee, Kansas. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in general ledger management, month-end processes, and inventory accounting. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to guarantee the accuracy of financial data.
• Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Analyze and manage inventory accounting to ensure proper valuation and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff.

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and month-end close procedures.

• Expertise in inventory accounting and valuation processes.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with current accounting standards and regulations.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Ideal candidates will have experience working with a publicly traded company or exposure to SOX

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
