Sr. Accountant - Property

We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team in Ballantyne, North Carolina. In this role, you will oversee key financial activities related to property accounting, including month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity for growth in the real estate industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Oversee bank reconciliation processes, ensuring alignment with financial records.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial operations.

• Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support.

• Analyze financial data to assist in decision-making and reporting.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in property accounting within the real estate industry.

• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Expertise in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and resolving discrepancies.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
