Shipping & Receiving Manager

SHIPPING & RECEIVING MANAGER - Growth Oriented Consumer Products Company in Lawrenceville, GA

My client is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead shipping and logistics operations at their Lawrenceville, GA facility. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing shipments to major retail accounts, expertise with EDI, warehouse team management, and experience in consumer products. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily shipping operations, including scheduling, routing, and carrier coordination
• Ensure timely and accurate shipments meeting retailer-specific routing and labeling requirements
• Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to maintain accurate stock records
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor carrier performance and resolve delivery or compliance issues
• Maintain shipping documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
  

• 2 years in shipping/logistics management, preferably in distribution or manufacturing
• Experience working with major retail accounts (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon) and freight routing systems
• Strong knowledge of routing guides, freight logistics, and compliance standards
• Proficient in shipping software and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, LTL)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Familiarity with EDI shipping processes
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
