Revenue Accountant

Our client is seeking a Revenue Accountant to oversee and manage billing operations for our organization. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and collections. Based in Houston, Texas, the position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review billing statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Manage the collection process to resolve outstanding accounts and maintain healthy cash flow.

• Maintain and update the computerized billing system to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

• Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of billing issues.

• Generate detailed reports on billing activities and present findings to management.

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company standards during all billing operations.

• Provide support during audits by organizing billing records and documentation.

• Implement process improvements to optimize billing functions and reduce errors.

• Train and mentor less experienced staff on billing procedures and system usage.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing or revenue accounting roles.
• Proficiency in computerized billing systems, with a strong understanding of billing functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage billing collections and resolve account discrepancies.
• Experience preparing and analyzing billing statements for accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices related to billing.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
