Reprographics Associate (Copy Operator)

We are looking for a skilled Reprographics Associate (Copy Operator) to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, IL. This role involves operating and maintaining high-volume production printers, copiers, and finishing equipment to ensure the accurate and timely completion of document requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process reprographics requests, including black-and-white and color photocopies, ensuring accuracy and quality.

• Operate production printers and copiers, adjusting job settings and managing queues as needed.

• Utilize finishing equipment such as bindery machines, laminators, hole drills, and cutters according to project requirements.

• Inspect documents for quality before, during, and after production to maintain high standards.

• Load paper and toner into copiers and printers to ensure uninterrupted operation.

• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate service calls for repairs.

• Communicate effectively with managers and clients to address project deadlines and resolve any concerns.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

• Lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Work on your feet for extended periods to meet production demands.

• At least one year of office service experience, preferably in a legal, banking, or corporate setting.
• Proficiency in operating production printers, copiers, and finishing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware issues and coordinate repairs.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for long durations.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with reprographics processes and document production workflows.
• Knowledge of paper types, laminating, scanning, and other production-related tasks.
