Our client, a highly respected in-house legal team for a major corporation, is seeking a Real Estate Development Paralegal to join their team. This confidential search is for a key role supporting the legal and business teams responsible for the company's real estate and property development functions. The position is located in the southwest suburbs of the Twin Cities.You will be an integral part of the property development team, working directly with attorneys and business partners on all aspects of real estate and development. This is a hands-on role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:Drafting and analyzing legal documents. This includes reviewing, revising, and analyzing a variety of contracts such as leases, letters of intent, purchase agreements, and easements. You'll also prepare first drafts of simpler agreements for attorney review.Managing real estate transactions from start to finish. You will be responsible for reviewing titles and surveys, drafting objection letters, preparing comprehensive closing checklists and documents, and coordinating with all parties to ensure efficient closings.Supporting property management and lease administration. You'll assist with joint venture agreements, property management agreements, and track critical dates and legal requirements.Handling licensing and regulatory matters. This includes analyzing real estate and broker license requirements for various business lines in new jurisdictions and tracking the status of licenses and permits.
