Purchasing Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase & Sales Specialist to join our team in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage purchasing activities while ensuring inventory levels are maintained to meet business demands. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor inventory levels to identify stock shortages and update daily reports accordingly.
• Follow established purchasing plans to create and process purchase orders for assigned vendors.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with vendors to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Maintain and update vendor files, including costs and stock part numbers, to ensure accurate records.
• Collaborate with vendors to organize monthly flyer promotions and track rebate programs.
• Assist Special Order Sales teams by providing accurate quotes and checking cost availability.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve supply-related issues.
• Ensure vendor invoices are entered accurately and promptly into company systems.
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain structured inventory buying plans and optimize fill rates.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, including creating and managing purchase orders.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and coordinating deliveries.
