Purchaser

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will oversee and manage procurement activities, ensuring the seamless execution of purchasing processes for capital expenditures, materials, and services. You will collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to achieve organizational goals and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes, including solicitation of quotes, supplier negotiations, order issuance, delivery confirmations, and expediting parts as needed.

• Evaluate and select vendors with relevant experience, ensuring their performance meets company standards and requirements.

• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of contracted services.

• Develop and prepare detailed scopes of work in collaboration with internal stakeholders for service-based contracts.

• Provide accurate cost and delivery estimates for materials as required by internal teams.

• Address inquiries related to purchase order delivery statuses, unexpected material needs, and expedite requests from internal customers.

• Assist the Purchasing Manager with special projects, inventory procurement, and upcoming purchasing requirements.

• Resolve discrepancies related to receiving and invoicing for assigned procurements.

• Attend facility management meetings to stay informed and align departmental activities.

• Apply supplier risk mitigation strategies to minimize company liability in case of accidents, scope changes, or failure to meet contract obligations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Logistics, or a technical discipline.
• 7 years of procurement experience, preferably with expertise in service-based contracting and material purchasing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational skills.
• Solid negotiation skills and demonstrated knowledge of purchasing principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and procurement systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex procurement challenges.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
