Purchaser

We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our team in Hopkinton Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute ideas while supporting the development of a world-class global procurement organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills to enhance procurement processes and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase requisitions, orders, and agreements to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials.

• Oversee indirect purchasing activities to support organizational goals and streamline procurement functions.

• Analyze data and develop actionable insights to optimize procurement strategies and supply chain logistics.

• Collaborate with Commodity Managers and cross-functional teams, including Finance, to improve departmental processes.

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of procurement-related tools, metrics, and policies.

• Assist in the standardization of procurement workflows and the integration of Source-to-Contract technology solutions.

• Monitor and manage portfolio pipelines to ensure alignment with procurement objectives.

• Provide training and knowledge management support to enhance the effectiveness of the Indirect Procurement team.

• Contribute to the development of material requirements planning (MRP) systems and inventory management processes.

• Partner with stakeholders to maintain compliance with corporate procurement standards and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related area of Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Business Management preferred. (Degree would be nice to see, but if the candidate has 10 years of experience and no BA/BS please share) 5 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain (PMP/LEAN a HUGE plus)
• Indirect sourcing strategy is a must have. This is not a “buying role”. Must know and understand indirect procurement strategies
• Ability to deal directly with CxO level in negotiations and discussions. Ability to Redline contracts.
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills. Also strong to advanced MS Excel. Any experience and exposure to ERP systems and a huge plus if there is experience with implementations experience. System skills to include: SAP Ariba (WBN, not mandatory)
• Strong people sills, communication skills and comfortable in a performance driven environment!
