This is a full-time, on-site position located in Cumberland, RI, for a Purchaser / Buyer role. The candidate will be responsible for procuring materials, components, and equipment based on company needs. Daily tasks include negotiating with vendors, managing supplier relationships, analyzing inventory levels, processing purchase orders, and ensuring on-time delivery of goods. Additionally, the Purchaser/Buyer will collaborate with internal teams to maintain cost effectiveness and support production schedules.
- Procurement and negotiation skills, including vendor management and purchase order processing
- Strong analytical abilities to track inventory levels, assess procurement options, and maintain cost efficiency
- Logistical and supply chain management experience, including sourcing and on-time delivery
- Attention to detail, including accurate documentation and record-keeping skills
- Proficient in using ERP systems or procurement software
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment is considered an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
