📌 Role Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Tax Analyst to join our tax team. This role is a unique blend of compliance and analytical responsibilities, supporting property tax functions across multiple state jurisdictions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate filings, optimizing tax positions, and supporting strategic decisions that impact our bottom line.

🧠 What You’ll Do

• Prepare and file property tax returns across various U.S. state and local jurisdictions
• Analyze property tax assessments and identify opportunities for appeals or reductions
• Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to gather data and support filings
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting property tax obligations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting property tax liabilities
• Support audits and respond to inquiries from taxing authorities
• Maintain property tax records and ensure compliance with internal controls

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 years of experience in property tax, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sector
• Strong understanding of multi-state property tax regulations and compliance
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and property tax software (e.g., PTMS, OneSource, or similar)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
