Property Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project finances, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company and client standards. Responsibilities:

1. Project Setup and Management: Review project details, create contracts, and ensure accurate data entry. Maintain project budgets and material costs, manage logs for changes and contingencies, and handle subcontractor payments and invoices
2. Financial Oversight: Track payments, verify lien waivers, reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, and assist with client collections to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
3. Billing and Documentation: Prepare and process detailed client billing statements and oversee project close-out procedures, including reconciling final values and distributing documentation

• Proven experience in property accounting with a strong understanding of financial principles.

• Expertise in month-end close processes and accrual accounting.

• Solid knowledge of general ledger functions and reconciliation.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
