What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll & Benefits Specialist position at Robert Half?
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related inquiries
- Administer employee benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and leave programs
- Support onboarding and offboarding tasks related to payroll and benefits
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws (e.g., tax filings, reporting)
- Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll/benefits issues
- Assist with audits, reports, and reconciliations as needed
- Participate in HR Process Improvements
Requirements:
- 5 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience
- Familiarity with payroll software (iSolved, is a PLUS)
- Skilled in building positive working relationships across teams
- Business Acumen
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of employment and tax regulations
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively
