Part Time Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is based in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and organized.

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial information efficiently.

• Generate detailed financial reports to support decision-making processes.

• Monitor and analyze financial discrepancies, resolving issues promptly.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and practices.

• Apply advanced Excel formulas for data analysis and reporting purposes.

• Support audits by providing accurate documentation and financial data.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
