Operations Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Operations Specialist to join our team in Kerrville, Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical operational processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance and a strong understanding of banking regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage return item processing and unposted item repairs to ensure smooth account operations.
• Handle posted exception processing and dormant account verifications with precision.
• Process chargebacks, including substitute check policies, letters, and checks, while adhering to established guidelines.
• Verify incoming and outgoing wires, both domestic and international, with meticulous attention to account balances.
• Conduct cold storage reviews and ensure audit compliance for reports, returns, and prenotes.
• Oversee foreign and on-us item processing for transactions within specified thresholds.
• Maintain dormant letter queues by reviewing and updating account relationships.
• Address fraud alerts and suspicious activity reports promptly and accurately.
• Balance charge-off and recovery general ledger accounts, recording new entries as required.
• Perform monthly compliance tasks, including fraud reporting, deposit summaries, and account audits.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking operations or quality assurance roles.
• Proficient in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) compliance.
• Strong ability to handle suspicious activity reporting and perform detailed audits.
• Expertise in managing cash deposits, charge-offs, and workflow queues.
• Familiarity with FinCEN reporting and regulatory guidelines.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external clients.
• Strong analytical capabilities to review financial data and identify discrepancies.
