Logistics Coordinator - Ocean Import

We are looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator with expertise in ocean imports to join our team in Cypress, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in managing international shipping operations, and delivers exceptional customer service. The role requires a strong background in freight forwarding and proficiency in CargoWise.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of ocean import shipments, from booking to final delivery.
• Prepare and manage import documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
• Coordinate schedules with carriers and agents to ensure timely shipments.
• Communicate effectively with customers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
• Utilize CargoWise to input shipment details, update milestones, and maintain accurate records.
• Track and monitor shipments, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and company procedures.
• Support billing processes by verifying costs and ensuring invoice accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customs departments, to optimize operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ocean import or export within the freight forwarding industry.
• Advanced proficiency in CargoWise software.
• Solid knowledge of international shipping regulations, export/import documentation, and Incoterms.
• Exceptional communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Strong organizational abilities with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience with ERP systems and other logistics tools is a plus.
