Interim Controller (contract)

We are looking for an Interim Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Arlington, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage accounting processes effectively while ensuring compliance with internal controls. This is a 3-month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Arlington, TX.

Interim Controller (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports, ensuring all data is thoroughly reviewed.

• Lead the month-end close process by gathering necessary information from staff and finalizing accounts.

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

• Support forecasting and budgeting initiatives to align financial plans with organizational goals.

• Manage and supervise accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring smooth operational workflows.

• Conduct reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.

• Present financial results and insights to leadership, aiding in informed decision-making.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Proven ability to produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

Hands-on experience with month-end close processes.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with complex formulas and data analysis.

Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing accounting staff.

Expertise in account reconciliation and troubleshooting financial discrepancies.

Familiarity with auditing processes and budget management.

Ability to analyze revenue trends and provide actionable insights.

Experience with Accounting Seed or similar accounting software is preferred
