Interim Compensation Director

We are looking for an experienced interim Compensation Director to lead and manage comprehensive compensation strategies for our organization. This contract position is based in Irving, Texas, and offers an opportunity to shape and refine compensation practices to align with business goals and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of expertise in compensation analysis, benchmarking, and benefits management. This is a 2-4 week contract position. 100% REMOTE.

Interim Compensation Director (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.

• Conduct detailed compensation analyses, including salary surveys and market research, to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices.

• Oversee the design and administration of total rewards programs, including bonuses, commissions, and other incentive plans.

• Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to ensure compensation policies comply with legal requirements, including workers' compensation laws.

• Evaluate and refine existing compensation structures, recommending adjustments based on data-driven insights.

• Manage the benchmarking process to compare compensation packages with industry standards and identify areas for improvement.

• Lead the development and communication of compensation-related policies and procedures to stakeholders.

• Provide expert guidance on complex compensation matters, including commission structures and bonus plans.

• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, including analysis, benchmarking, and benefits administration.
• Strong expertise in compensation surveys, total rewards, and incentive programs such as bonuses and commissions.
• In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to design and implement effective compensation structures aligned with business objectives.
• Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in using data to inform compensation decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to leadership.
• Familiarity with industry trends and regulatory developments in compensation and benefits.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certification is a plus.
