Human Resources Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring seamless processes across various systems, and delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within the field of human resources and contribute to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with onboarding processes, including background checks and benefit enrollment for new hires.

• Maintain and update employee records in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.

• Provide support for payroll processing and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Audit HR documents and processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.

• Manage and respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.

• Coordinate recruitment efforts by utilizing ATS systems and scheduling interviews.

• Support benefit functions and assist employees with enrollment and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure smooth transitions in system updates or integrations.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing employee concerns promptly and professionally.

• Assist in preparing reports and analyzing HR data for strategic decision-making.

• Experience working with HR platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or other HRMS systems.
• Background in auditing procedures and conducting background checks within an HR environment.
• In-depth understanding of benefits administration and enrollment processes.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and expertise in managing recruitment.
• Strong organizational abilities paired with a high level of attention to detail.
• Skilled in delivering outstanding customer service and effectively communicating with employees across all levels.
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline—or equivalent professional work experience.
