Director, Tax & Financial Services

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Tax & Financial Services to join our client in the Greenville, South Carolina area.

In this leadership role, you will take a strategic approach to tax management, compliance, and planning while contributing to broader financial initiatives critical to our company’s success.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and refine the tax function, implement process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complex tax compliance processes, including federal, state, and international filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.
• Develop and execute tax planning strategies that align with company objectives while optimizing financial outcomes.
• Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering professional growth and maintaining a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with finance and executive leadership to identify opportunities for tax-related efficiencies and strategic value.
• Continuously assess and improve existing tax processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Provide technical expertise in corporate tax compliance, including annual income tax provisions and reporting.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise on potential impacts to the organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate tax strategies into broader financial goals and initiatives.
• Establish metrics to measure the success and impact of the tax function as it evolves.
• Drive innovation and long-term vision for the tax department to support the company’s strategic objectives.

• Proven experience in managing corporate tax compliance across federal, state, and international levels.

• Expertise in annual income tax provisions and corporate income tax reporting.

• Proficiency with tax software such and other compliance systems.

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance and executive teams to align tax strategies with organizational objectives.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements within tax functions.

• Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and their application to corporate environments.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance immediate technical needs and long-term growth objectives.
