HR Specialist

Take the next step in your career with this exciting 6 month contract opportunity as a Human Resources Specialist with a local organization in the Lehigh Valley. In this impactful role, you’ll have the chance to drive key HR initiatives, support multiple business units, and collaborate with leadership to shape organizational success. Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage staffing needs, including recruitment, interviews, and applicant selection.
• Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, along with safety and recreation programs.
• Provide guidance to potential and current employees regarding policies, job roles, working conditions, benefits, and opportunities for growth.
• Address challenging staffing situations, including dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Advise managers on key organizational policies, including EEO and employee relations, and propose necessary updates.
• Oversee onboarding and new employee orientation to enhance engagement and alignment with organizational goals.
• Maintain comprehensive records and generate reports on personnel data such as performance reviews, hires, and absenteeism trends.
• Act as a liaison between management and staff, interpreting policies, resolving workplace concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
  

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in training and mentoring team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new HR systems.
